“In 1985 two gifted young mothers in our church family came to our church leadership team and sought our counsel on starting a Christian pre-school through our ministries!  God affirmed the plan and vision and granted us favor in the community that has led to an ongoing highly respected pre-school program and elementary school  that is sought out by families in Arizona and Mexico (Nogales, Sonora) due to its proven quality”

 Sonshine Christian School exists to advance the light of Gospel by partnering with families to help children achieve academic excellence, develop moral character, and cultivate a heart for loving and serving God as well as others.

Programs Offered

Preschool: 3 years old by September 1st (Must be potty trained)

Pre-Kinder: 4 years old by September 1st

Elementary: Kinder through 5th grade

Full Day Program

8:00 am – 5:30 pm (Available for any student enrolled in a program above)

Preschool Curriculum:

We offer purposeful instruction in the following areas:

Phonics, Language Development, Art/Science, Math & Bible/Music

Preschool children enrolled in the Full-Day Program participate in the morning classes.  The afternoon consists of :

 Rest/Nap period, Snack, Art/Science, Storytime & Group Games

Elementary Curriculum:

Abeka, Positive Action for Christ, and Bob Jones University Press

We offer purposeful instruction through:

Loving Christian Atmosphere, Small Class Sizes, Exciting & Challenging Curriculum, Emphasis on Academics as well as Character development, Individualized approach to meet the needs of ALL students, Music, Religious Instruction & P.E.

After School Program available until 5:30 pm for an additional fee
