  I was born in the United States and grew up in Mexico. I moved to the United States at the age of 14. Although the move was only from the border town of Nogales, Sonora to the neighboring town of Nogales, Arizona I experienced difficulties to adapt. Despite the challenges, my older brother, one of my sisters, and I made it to college. And we’re really proud of it! Praise God for always providing emotional and financial support. To Him all the glory!!

      I met my dear husband Rene as he and my brother serenaded my mother during Mother’s Day. Then about a year later we began a relationship. We’ve been married for 20 years. We’ve had a wonderful support group of family and friends to help us deal with the hardship of not been able to have children. It has not been easy.

      I’ve been a teacher at Sonshine Christian School for almost 20 years serving our Mexican and American communities. Our school has a large percent of Mexican children crossing the border every day to attend our school. It has been a blessing to work in this school to teach necessary academic skills and to have the freedom to share the gospel with students, parents, and other family members. 

     I recently became a deaconess at church and have been serving with a wonderful group of hardworking ladies.
